But while the trailer does have selected shots from the film, it’s not always an accurate representation of the film. Both films have protagonists who are dealing with a sudden rise in their sexuality, whether through menstruating for the first time or being the most popular girl in school. But what do the stupid Oscar voters do? Can’t find Jennifer’s Body on Hulu? They give DC the Oscar and ignore the fact that she was CARRIED by the others, while denying Page and Reitman Oscars. Fox doesn’t get near the credit deserved for her nuanced performance as the ruthless yet vulnerable Jennifer.
Yet, through the whole movie you can't figure out if it is more of a comedy than a horror flick. I just fixated on Fox because my expectations of her were so low!
